So I can't express how EXCITED I am to teach Primary AND how freaked out Jake is to be called as my partner. I am not sure what scares him more...the kids or being partnered with me. He is afraid that he won't relate to the kids, they won't like him and they won't have any fun.
Last week we sat in on our class to meet the kids and observe and they are a hoot. One girl raised her hand to tell the class that for her weekly service, she helped clean her mom's room. She made a follow-up statement of, "It's a real pigsty." The cute blond girl next to her confirmed the statement by saying, "It is. I've seen it." Awesome!
We teach this coming week for the first time and the lesson is on "Jesus Christ is Our Savior" I am going to teach and have Jake do a few activities and be the treat dude. How can you not love the treat dude? :)
