I'm getting a little bit of cabin fever. I was so angry for no reason the past two, no, make that four weeks I didn't know what to do with my self. I was going to the gym, I was running inside AND outside, but in the end I realized. I NEED THE DAMN SUNSHINE! So I did what any person severely lacking Vitamin D would do. I went to the tanning bed for 10 minutes. I know if my dermatologist found out, he'd have my hide, but once a year in the lovely warm light of those blue bulbs hopefully won't kill me. Jake was so happy I went. It means that he just bought himself another month or so with a happier wife.
So while I'm inside, I might as well post some oldies, but goodie photos of the past few years.
Some of my fav's. Digging out the basement in 2011 right after I moved in and Jake as still trying real hard to be my main squeeze! So he was egar to help. There wasn't a lot of storage in this house, especially if I was renting to three girls. Thus, the need for the basement. So I hired four boys from the United Methodist Bell Ringers group to come and spend a day digging. I was right there along side them, even if this drove Jake crazy. My philosophy. I won't have anyone do something, that I wouldn't do myself. I have since hear from their mothers that they will never dig out a basement again. :)

The boys who will never dig out a basement again. It was these four, Jake and myself.

The great thing about digging out the dirt, I can just move it to the from yard, to level out the lawn. It was one large hole in the middle and when the sprinklers came on, they just pooled in the middle.

I'm tired. There is no way around it. Digging for 9 hours in a dusty hole in your basement makes you tired and look old.

You can't really see from this photo, but there is a dirt film that has settled on ever surface in the entire house.
I've built shelves out of plywood and cinder blocks, but I think, if we can swing it, this summer we'll hire someone to come open up the tiny door that leads to the basement and pour the concrete. This will create a 30'X10' killer storage space.
